WELCOME TO SELF-LEARNING PROGRAMME

THE SELF-LEARNING PROGRAMME MICROCRAFT

What is MicroCraft?

MicroCraft is an
  • Internet-based self-study course, which can be carried out
  • Without external help
  • With individual time management

The course is designed primarily for craftsmen and handicraft artisans and for service providers in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that want to develop additional skills in the field of marketing. The self-study course is intended to serve primarily as a suggestion to consider the strengths and weaknesses of one's company from a different angle and to draw individual conclusions for one's own business.

What is the goal of a self-learning course?

The aim of the self-learning course is
  • To explain the importance of marketing
  • To improve the marketing skills of the participants and
  • To define clear personal business goals

The course does not replace a solid marketing training, but it provides honest answers help to identify your strengths and weaknesses. With this knowledge, you can then specifically work on your gaps and, if need be, get professional help from outside. The basic knowledge of each field will be obtained here, so that further targeted actions are possible without wasting financial and human resources. Note: please answer the modules carefully with the distance to your daily routine - it's about an analysis of your marketing and potential for improvement!

How is the structure of the programme and the modules?

Programme

The learning platform is divided into three major chapters, which in turn are divided into individual modules.
1. Marketing + analysis phase: the result of the individual modules should be the creation of your own company profile, which you will use to work within individual modules
2. Positioning
3. Best practice examples from different regions and crafts

The learning content available in the following languages: German, English, Czech and Slovenian.

The learning process for each chapter depends on the knowledge of the participants. However, it is generally recommended to study the chapters in the order listed.

The chapters "marketing and analysis phase" deal mostly about creating one's own business profile in a self-test. Each chapter provides a theoretical basis which you can compare with your own situation.

These results form the basis to continue the work with the chapter "Positioning". It is advisable that you go through all the modules and to answer all questions in order to get a complete picture of your company. However, the individual modules can also operate independently of each other and the self-test can be terminated with substantive gaps. It should also be noted that the test is made just for you personally. Try to remain objective with your responses in order to obtain the best benefit for your company.

In the chapter "Positioning", strategies and opportunities are identified that you can choose for further action. This part serves mainly to raise awareness of potential changes and improvements. It neither can nor will offer ready-made solutions, but stimulate you to deal analytically with the individual strengths and weaknesses of your company.

The last chapters deal with best practice examples from different regions and crafts.

The chapters are subdivided into modules, which in turn build on each other in terms of content. Some of the learning contents overlap, as subjects must be illustrated for better understanding under different aspects. So, the individual contents contribute to an entire network of information that may be then converted into the respective actual situation.

Modules

Basically, each module is built in the same order as follows:
  • Entry scenario in order to make a comparison with a real situation
  • Description and information: contents of the module
  • Questions about your business
  • Factbox: if you want to know more details, there is more information about the respective field
